At the moms group we have a moment called an 'ice breaker'.
That will be the time to share your ideas.
It could be a short game, a joke, a short story, a great recipe, show off a talent you have, etc.
We want everyone to get involved. Find the encouragement you need to become the woman God desires you to be.

Reminders...........

In the last mom's group meeting we discussed giving $5 a month to secure a babysitter & snacks for the kids.
We all know how much we appreciate someone watching the children to give us some time off!! :)
We also discussed collecting it on the last Friday of the month, which is next Friday (Aug. 28th)

On these dates we will be meeting at the
Game Funaddicts Cyber Cafe.

Oct. 2nd - There will be babysiting at the church.
Nov. 6th
Dec. 4th

Free Movies & Bowling for Kids

Two great ways to beat the heat.

This is for the moms with kids who can sit thru a movie. Regal is having free PG & G movies every Wednesday at 10am. I heard it gets packed so get there early.

Free Decorations

Thanks to Angie from Solid Ground Kids, I was able to have these great decorations for my twin girls 1st birthday next week!!!!!!!!
Even better news, we could ALL use them for upcoming birthday parties for our kids!!!! If we all take good care of them they could last us a long time. We are so blessed to have talented people in church who made them.
This is just one more way to save money.

It's too late for me to change my theme but if your having a birthday coming up and need a great theme; Candyland!!!! It goes perfect with these decorations and your other party needs would come out cheaper. Just buy solid colored plates, spoons, & streamers etc. Which you could find at Dollar Tree. Also, everyone has glass vases at home, just fill them up with solid colored candy for party favors!!!

Great News!!!

My sister-in-law let me know that 'El Sentinal' & 'La Prensa' spanish newspapers carry the manufacter coupon inserts!! If you don't already know, these newspapers are free!!!

I didn't want to post this information until I found out for myself.

Well, after buying today's paper at Walmart I drove by the Food Spot on Towne Center Drive & picked up El Sentinel. It was free & they had the same inserts as The Orlando Sentinel.

I am sure everyone has passed these papers all the time & had no idea.
I also logged on the El Sentinel's website & they deliver the Sunday paper free.

Please be kind and don't take all of them.....lol Leave some for the rest of the moms out there.

KMart is having a great deal of double coupon from June 7-13!!!

This doesn't happen very often so I made it a point to make the trip today.

Here are the deals I got:

Hawaiian Tropic was on sale for $5 - $2(my $1 coupon doubled) = $3

Herbal Essence/Aussie hair on sale 3/$10 -$5 (i had a $2off & .50cents off) = 3/$5 (making them $1.67 each

Lysol disinfectant spray $4.46 - $4 (my $2 coupon doubled) = .46 cents

Clearasil face wash $5.19 - $4 (used my $2 coupon) = .19 cents

Theraflu $ 6.45 -$4 (used a $2 internet coupon) = $2.45

Huggies diapers both were $10.49 - $4 (used a $2 coupon) = $6.49 each

Huggies wipes $2.89 -$1.50 (used a .75 cents coupon) = $1.39

Little Swimmers $7.89 - $3.00 (used a 1.50 coupon) = $4.89

I feel like I made some good deals. I hope this helps you see what kind of deals are out there.

Couponing 101

It was wonderful being able to share some couponing tips with you all today.

I just wanted to recap on a few ideas.

1 - Buy an Orlando Sentinel & file 'Red Plum' & 'Smart Source' with the date of that Sunday on top

2 - Compare prices from the stores you often shop. i.e. Walmart or Publix

3 - Look at blogs to see which stores or items you will be purchasing.
I usually look at Deal Seeking Mom for great Walmart prices.
